Wabi-sabi is the valuing of the irregular, the aged, and the beautifully imperfect. An example is the greying of galvanised-steel wire as it acquires a patina over time. Sabi literally means ‘rust’ in Japanese. All original street wire art has this attribute: it starts out silver and turns grey. Our assembled SPACECRAFT are electroplated in Starship Silver or Droid Gold, but if you want to practice some wire art yourself and join together the pieces of the Street Steel Exploded Version, you will have a wabi-sabi SPACECRAFT which will tarnish over time.
